1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Parvaya ("Parvaya", "we", "us", "our"). They apply to the website www.parvaya.com, every invitation and page we publish, our private editing links, the partner workspace, and every service we provide through them or over WhatsApp (together, the "Service").
By browsing the website, sending an enquiry, placing an order, approving an invitation, or signing in to the partner workspace, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refunds & Delivery Policy and our Copyright & Design Rights page. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. They do not need a physical or digital signature to be binding.
Words we use
- Customer or host: the person or organisation who orders an invitation from us.
- Guest: anyone who opens an invitation a host has shared.
- Partner: a business, such as an event-management company or planner, that uses Parvaya for Partners to make invitations for its own clients.
- Template or design: any of our ready-made invitation designs, and any design we create for you, including its layout, artwork, animation, typography, interactions and code.
- Invitation: the finished, personalised page we publish at a link for a customer.
- Your content: the names, text, photographs, videos, music, logos and other material you give us to put in your invitation.
- Order: a plan, Bespoke option or add-on you have confirmed and paid for.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you order on behalf of a family, company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf, and "you" includes that organisation.
3. What we provide
Parvaya is a design service. Our team takes a design from our collection (or creates one for you), fills it in with your details, and publishes it as an interactive invitation at a private link you can share on WhatsApp or anywhere else. Depending on your plan, the invitation can include multiple functions, maps, calendars, countdowns, music, galleries, RSVPs, photo uploads, games and messages to guests.
- Plans (currently Classic, Signature, Grand) set what your invitation includes: the number of functions, correction rounds, how long the link stays live and which features are included. The current details are always on our pricing page.
- Bespoke options change a design for you or create a new one, on top of any plan.
- Add-ons extend a plan, for example extra functions, languages, rush delivery or a longer-lived link.
- Some features are marked Early access. They are available now, but our team sets them up for you (for example, RSVPs collected through a form we create and share with you) while we finish the self-serve version. What you receive is described when you order.
- Previews and demos on our website use invented sample names, dates and photographs. They show how a design looks and behaves; your invitation will contain your own details, and small differences in length and layout are normal.
4. How ordering works
- You send an enquiry from the website or message us on WhatsApp.
- We agree the plan, design, any Bespoke options or add-ons, the price and the timeline with you on WhatsApp.
- You pay (see Prices and payment) and send us your details, photographs and any other content.
- We make your invitation and send you a draft link to review, or a private editing link so you can fill in the details yourself.
- You send corrections within your plan's allowance, then approve.
- We publish the invitation and send you the final link to share.
An order is confirmed only when we have received your payment and confirmed the order on WhatsApp or by email. We may decline an order before it is confirmed, for example if the content would break the rules for content or we cannot meet the date you need; if we have already received payment, we will refund it in full.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST unless we clearly say otherwise.
- Plans, Bespoke options and add-ons are paid in full before we start work.
- Fully Bespoke is quoted upfront and the quote is fixed. We take 50% before we begin and the remaining 50% when you approve the final design, before it is published.
- We accept payment by UPI, bank transfer or any other method we confirm with you in writing. We will send an invoice for every payment.
- While launch pricing is on, the regular price is shown struck through beside the launch price. You pay the price shown when your order is confirmed. Later price changes do not affect a confirmed order.
- You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time by paying the difference between the two plans.
- If we show a price by mistake that is clearly wrong, we will tell you before we start and you can choose to pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
We will never ask for an OTP, UPI PIN, card number or password. Pay only to the payment details we send you from our official WhatsApp number or email address, and check with us if anything looks different.
6. Delivery and turnaround
Your invitation is a digital service. Nothing is shipped: we deliver it as a link, on WhatsApp or by email. Turnaround times are counted from when we have both your payment and all the details and files we need:
| Plan or option | Turnaround |
|---|---|
| Classic | 24–48 hours |
| Signature | 24–48 hours |
| Grand | 24–48 hours |
| Personal Touch (Bespoke) | +1–2 days |
| Illustrated (Bespoke) | +3–4 days |
| Fully Bespoke (Bespoke) | 7–10 days |
| Rush delivery (add-on) | Same day, subject to availability |
Times are good-faith estimates. They pause while we wait for information, files or approvals from you, and may be longer around major festivals and peak wedding dates; we will tell you in advance if so. See the Refunds & Delivery Policy for what happens if we miss a promised time.
7. Corrections, approval and edits
Each plan includes a number of correction rounds before your invitation goes live, and some edits after it is live:
| Plan | Corrections included |
|---|---|
| Classic | 1 round before publishing, 1 edit after it goes live |
| Signature | 2 rounds before publishing, 3 edits after it goes live |
| Grand | 3 rounds before publishing, unlimited self-edits |
- A correction round is one consolidated list of changes to the content: text, names, dates, times, venues, photos, music or the order of sections. Please send everything you would like changed in one message.
- Changing to a different design, or changing the design itself (layout, colours, fonts, artwork, animations), is not a correction. That is Bespoke work or a new order, and we will quote before starting.
- Extra correction rounds beyond your plan are charged at a price we will confirm before we make them.
- Please proofread carefully. You are responsible for checking every name, date, time, venue, map link and phone number before you approve. When you approve the invitation (for example by saying "approved" or "go live" on WhatsApp, or pressing "I'm finished" in a private editing link), we publish it as approved.
- If you use a private editing link, keep the link and its code to yourself. Anyone who has both can edit your invitation, and changes made with them are treated as made by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has them and we will reset the code.
8. Your link and how long it stays live
- Your invitation stays live for 12 months on Classic, 18 months on Signature, 24 months on Grand, counted from the day it is first published. You can extend it with an add-on before it expires.
- When the period ends, the link may stop showing your invitation, and we will delete or anonymise its content as described in our Privacy Policy. Please save anything you want to keep (for example, screenshots, or a copy of your photos) before then.
- We aim to keep invitations available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Pages may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with the internet, hosting providers, browsers or WhatsApp, which are outside our control.
- Invitations are made for current versions of common mobile and desktop browsers. Animations, music and some features may behave differently on older devices, with battery-saving modes on, or in apps that open links in their own browser. Autoplaying music depends on the browser, and some browsers require a tap first.
- Guests need an internet connection to open the invitation.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of your content. You give Parvaya a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, resize, crop, compress, format, translate (if you order another language) and display your content, and to show it to anyone who opens your link, only as needed to make, host and support your invitation. The licence ends when your invitation is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or in backups that are overwritten in the ordinary course.
We will not use your content, names, photographs or invitation in our portfolio, website, social media or advertising without your separate written permission.
By giving us content, you confirm that:
- you own it, or have all the permissions needed to use it this way (for example, from the photographer who took your pre-wedding shoot, or the family members whose names and photos appear);
- it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- it is accurate, and it is not unlawful, defamatory or misleading.
Music
Commercial songs are protected by copyright, and hosting one on a page shared with hundreds of people can require a licence. Where you ask for a specific song, you confirm you have the right to use it. We may suggest or substitute a licensed or royalty-free track, and we may remove any track if a rights holder objects.
10. Our designs and intellectual property
Every Parvaya design is original work. Our templates, and every design we create for you, including the layouts, illustrations, artwork, patterns, motifs, colour schemes, typography arrangements, animations, transitions, interactive features (such as envelope openings, scratch-to-reveal dates and games), preview videos and images, source code, stylesheets and written copy, together with the Parvaya name, logo, wordmark and brand, are owned by Parvaya or our licensors. They are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, the Designs Act, 2000 and other laws, in India and internationally.
What you may do with your invitation
When your order is paid, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, for as long as your link is live, to:
- share your invitation link with anyone, on any channel, as often as you like;
- take screenshots and screen recordings of your own invitation and share them for your celebration, for example on WhatsApp, Instagram or in a family group.
What you may not do
Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, you may not, and may not help anyone else to:
- copy, reproduce, recreate or imitate any Parvaya design, in whole or in substantial part, in any tool, app, website, print or video, whether for yourself or others;
- download, copy or extract our source code, stylesheets, animations, artwork or media files, or reverse-engineer how an invitation is built;
- resell, sublicense, rent or give away a Parvaya design, or use it as a template for anyone else's invitation;
- remove, hide or alter the Parvaya credit shown on invitations, or any copyright notice, unless your plan or partner agreement allows it;
- scrape, crawl, record in bulk or otherwise systematically collect our designs, demos, previews or invitations, or use them to train or improve artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
- share, publish or record our live demo links, or work around the time limits and access controls on demos.
Bespoke designs
When we create or adapt a design for you, the personal elements in it (your names, photographs, monogram, story and other content) remain yours and we will not reuse them. The design itself, including its layout, artwork, animation and code, remains Parvaya's property unless we agree in writing to transfer or license it exclusively to you, which may be priced separately. We may reuse the general style, structure and techniques in other designs, without your personal elements.
More detail, including how to report copying, is on our Copyright & Design Rights page.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions about the Service, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11. Rules for content and use
You must not use the Service, or ask us to publish anything, that:
- belongs to someone else and you have no right to use;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person's privacy (including bodily privacy), or harmful to children;
- is defamatory, harassing, insulting or hateful on the basis of gender, religion, caste, community, race, ethnicity or any other characteristic, or encourages violence;
- impersonates another person or organisation, or deceives or misleads anyone about who sent it;
- is used for a fake event, a scam, phishing, collecting money under false pretences, or any other fraudulent or unlawful purpose;
- promotes gambling, or advertises products or services the law restricts;
- contains viruses, malicious code or links to them;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, public order or friendly relations with other countries, or breaks any law in force.
You must also not:
- try to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, another customer's invitation or data, or our systems;
- interfere with the Service, overload it, or bypass rate limits or security measures;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools to send enquiries or access the website, other than search engines following our robots.txt.
We may refuse, edit or remove content, take an invitation offline, or suspend access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, if we receive a valid legal notice, or if we are required to by law. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why. Content removed for breaking these rules is not eligible for a refund.
12. WhatsApp, guests and guest data
- By sending an enquiry you ask us to contact you on WhatsApp about it. WhatsApp is provided by Meta, and its own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of it.
- Where your plan includes messages to guests (such as reminders, update alerts or a thank-you note), we send them only to guests who have opted in on your RSVP form, and only within your plan's limits. We do not message guests who have not opted in.
- If you give us guests' phone numbers (for example for the invite send-out add-on), you confirm that you obtained them lawfully and that your guests would expect to hear about your event.
- RSVPs, wishes, answers and photos collected from your guests are collected for you. You are responsible for how you use them once we hand them over, and we process them on your behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Partners and workspace accounts
- Partner plans, pricing, seats, white-labelling and message allowances are set out in the order or agreement we make with each partner. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement wins on that point.
- Partners are responsible to their own clients for the invitations they make, for obtaining their clients' permission for the content and personal data they give us, and for their clients' use of the Service.
- Keep workspace passwords confidential and give access only to your own team. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
- A partner licence to use Parvaya designs covers invitations for the partner's own clients' events while the partnership is active. It does not allow the partner to copy, export or resell the designs themselves.
14. Third-party services
Invitations may link to or rely on services we do not control, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps, calendar apps, music platforms, payment apps and forms. We are not responsible for those services, their availability or their content, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
15. Cancellations and refunds
Our Refunds & Delivery Policy explains when you can cancel, when you are entitled to a refund and how refunds are paid. It forms part of these Terms.
16. Disclaimers
We make every invitation with care, but the Service is otherwise provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available on every device, browser or app;
- every guest will receive, open or respond to your invitation, or that messages will be delivered by WhatsApp;
- colours, fonts and animations will look identical on every screen.
Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Parvaya's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to an order or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the order the claim relates to.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as the cost of your event or venue, travel, lost opportunities, or loss caused by incorrect details you approved.
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, as described under Events outside our control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law.
18. Indemnity
You agree to compensate Parvaya for any loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from a claim by a third party that your content infringes their rights or breaks the law, or from your breach of these Terms.
19. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to take your invitation offline and delete your data. We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or take an invitation offline, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if you fail to pay, or if we must do so to comply with law. If we end the Service for reasons that are not your fault, we will refund you in proportion to the time remaining on your link.
The sections on our designs and intellectual property, your content licence (for copies we must keep), limitation of liability, indemnity and disputes continue after these Terms end.
20. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for failing or being late to perform our obligations because of events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, fire, flood, war, riots, strikes, government action, internet or power outages, or failures of hosting, messaging or payment providers. We will tell you as soon as we can and do our best to limit the effect on your invitation.
21. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
If you have a complaint, please contact our Grievance Officer first (see Contact). We will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If we cannot, the dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over Parvaya's principal place of business in India, without affecting your right as a consumer to approach the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or any other forum available to you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
22. General
- Changes. We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Changes apply from that date, but a confirmed order stays on the terms that applied when it was confirmed, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Whole agreement. These Terms, the policies they refer to and your order confirmation (and, for partners, the partner agreement) are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours to a successor to our business, who will be bound by these Terms.
- Notices. We may send you notices on WhatsApp or by email at the number or address you gave us. You can send notices to us at the contact details below.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails.
